Welcome to Aura of StarClan!
Please keep these rules in mind when speaking both within roleplay and out. Any questions regarding these guidelines may be directed to Hawkstar.[/center]1. Do not godmode or powerplay; this definition from Urban Dictionary should help roleplayers understand more accutely what powerplaying consists of:
Godmoding covers a lot more matter than usually given credit for. It's a term used in many forms of roleplaying (Be they table-top, forum, IM, etc.) for any of the following problems:
I. When a character knows information that they shouldn't - this information could be taken from a forum they aren't supposed to have accessed, the user's prior knowledge on a subject (usually in fanbased RPs that follow a timeline), outside conversations about characters, or anything along those lines.
II. When a player takes control of another player's character (this is negated if there is some form of mind control involved, but even still permission for actually moving the character should be discussed). A common, though often accidental, version of this is when a character attacks another character and they explain that the other character was hit, not giving that person a chance to let their character dodge.
III. When a character is somehow invincible - if there's a GM, good luck getting this character through to the end. Everyone has weaknesses, your character should be included.
2. Be literate; we understand (trust me, we do!) that mistakes happen and everyone isn't perfect at grammar or spelling. AOS overall requires a basic skill at writing and the ability to create comprehensive sentences and abstract ideas. Keep this in mind when replying to a post; how does your character feel? What is his/her body language? What is he/she thinking? How will they react?
For example, instead of writing this:
Susie bit into the apple. It tasted good.
Write something like this, describing the event and the emotions involved:
Susie gripped the tiny, Granny Smith apple in her hand, and gradually she brought the fruit to her lips; the crispness of the tender, green skin met her senses with absolute satisfaction, and she savored the juices that dripped from the apple with a small, content grin.
3. AOS does not allow unusual patterns, colors, or powers. Medicine cats and leaders alone may dream with StarClan, unless given permission by an admin. Cats from StarClan may visit other cats on occasion, but admins have to initiate the dream or give permission to the player.
4. The maximum amount of characters that is allowed is four. Players are also allowed to have one kit character outside of these four; this means that if a clan cat has kits within a roleplay, they may be adopted. The mother and father are both entitled to one kit each.
5. Speaking of kitting, the average litter size is one to four, with one and four being rather rare, and many kits do not survive disease or leaf-bare. If your character chooses to have kits, the gestation period is roughly 66 days (about two moons). She-cats reach sexual maturity and may have kits as early as 6 moons.
6. Harassment to other roleplayers will not be tolerated. If you are being harassed, please speak with an administrator or moderator immediately. AOS is a family-friendly website and we do not allow harassment or bullying in any circumstance. If there is a problem that needs to be resolved, an admin may always be contacted to help.
7. Respect the decisions of admins, moderators, and leaders. The leader of a clan may do whatever they want with their clan; they may be as harsh as Brokenstar or as prideful as Leopardstar, and the law of StarClan states that it is clan law to obey them. Keep this in mind when considering how your character may act in certain situations.
8. When your character dies within the roleplay, they may move onto StarClan, and another character may be created within the character limit.
9. Open positions may be addressed with the leader of a clan.
10. Have fun!

Rule regarding rogues/ half-bloods / kittypets, etc.
The admins or clan leaders reserve every right to decline your description if your cat has any strange blood, is half-rogue, etc. The leader of a clan needs ti be realistic with their character's personality- for example, a leader like Firestar would likely accept a kittypet character, while a leader like Blackstar would likely chase them out. Please keep in mind that out of clan cats joining a clan is extremely rare (with the exception of ThunderClan, that is).
