Greenleaf was coming to an end.
Warm, dry winds buffeted the she-cat's silver fur, forcing her eyes to shut momentarily as she exited her den. The SkyClan leader lifted her nose to scent the air, and when the aromas returned as non-threatening, she opened her bright, yellow eyes and stepped delicately into the camp clearing.
It was nearly dawn. Hawkstar relished the exceptionally sunny day- although windy- and laid down in the coral and gold rays that the morning sun generously supplied. As the she-cat stretched her front and hind legs, she realized that it was moments like this that she truly felt blessed to be a SkyClan cat. The wide, open moorland allowed the warriors to feel the true morning breeze, the fullness of the sun's warmth, and the wide, open sky where StarClan watched over them. The leader lifted her pale, pink nose to the sky and sent a silent prayer of thanks to her ancestors.

Silverwolf slipped silently out of the warriors den with careful pawsteps. She was a somewhat recent warrior and slept near the edge of the den. Although it was colder on some nights, her position was a much easier place to get out without disturbing the other warriors. The young shecat normally woke a bit before dawn, just when the morning breezes started.
Stifling a yawn, Silverwolf sat down in a small patch of sunlight and stretched. Casting her pale blue gaze around the clearing, she spotted Hawkstar, the Clan leader. Nodding to Hawkstar as she caught her eye, Silverwolf leaned back to groom her bright silver fur, ruffled from sleep. Her golden tabby stripes gleamed in the faint rays of the rising sun as the young warrior sauntered over to her leader.
Sitting down at a respectable distance away, Silverwolf dipped her head at Hawkstar. "Good morning, Hawkstar," she meowed politely. "How's hunting?" The question was casual enough, but her icy blue eyes were guarded and wary.

Hawkstar's moments of solitude came to an end as she spotted one of the younger warriors slip out of the warriors den. Silverwolf was easily identifiable by her silver tabby fur, and the leader knew she had been named wisely for the color of her coat. Swiping a licked paw over her ear, Hawkstar waited for her clanmate to come closer before nodding in greeting.
"Silverwolf," the leader mewed softly, careful to keep her voice low to avoid waking the slumbering clan. "You're up early. The early bird catches the prey, yes?" She paused from her grooming and gave her silver companion a small grin. The warrior always seemed to keep to herself, and it was very seldom that Hawkstar was able to have a conversation with the recently-named she-cat. "How are your warrior duties coming along?"

ooc: Would it be possible to roleplay two cats at once? (: And whoa, my font is big. 0.o
bic: Silverwolf unconsciously curled her tail neatly around her paws as she settled herself down. It was a habit of hers to do that whenever she was trying to get comfortable, and strangely, the young warrior was ill at ease in the presence of her leader. She supressed the odd urge to take a step back and concealed her discomfiture with a brisk lick on her flank before replying," Good, thank you for asking."
Silverwolf paused again to lick a paw and draw it behind her ear before continuing. "And I think the saying should be the early cat catches the prey instead of bird." A small, wry smile flickered across her face then disappeared behind her usual relaxed, yet vigilant poise. "But if it isn't, somebody should either change it or catch that bird." Chiding herself for distrusting her own leader, Silverwolf broke her composure and flashed Hawkstar a faint smile that broadened into an unreserved grin.
With her pale blue eyes bright and candid, Silverwolf tipped her head to the side, a curious expression lingering in her icy gaze. "So how are you up so early, Hawkstar?" she inquired with a barely perceptible hint of wariness in her voice. "If it's not too discourteous to ask." the silver shecat added smoothly.

ooc; Of course! :3
Hawkstar let out a soft mmrow of laughter as Silverwolf played with the saying. At first it had seemed as if the warrior had seemed uncomfortable, but the leader pushed it out of her mind as she saw her clanmate relax and crack a joke. She paused for a moment to bring a dainty paw over her whiskers.
"Yes, someone had ought to catch that bird already," the leader added with a hint of amusement in her eyes. Hawkstar watched Silverwolf closely, and she realized that the she-cat had quite a sense of humor; perhaps she should spend more time getting to know the newer warriors and apprentices a bit better? Adding a quick reminder to herself to spend more time outside of her den, Hawkstar nodded up at the glowering sun that was gradually moving from the horizon. "I have always been a morning cat," the leader mewed. "I guess I'm better off anyways, seeing as I have a clan to run." Hawkstar added a humorous wink as she finished speaking, and tugged at the grass restlessly around her paws.

Sagepelt purred as she rolled on to her back, a soft wind ruffled her fur and she opened her eyes slightly to see it was morning already. When did that happen? She asked herself, realizing that she wasn't sleeping in the Warriors den. She must have fallen asleep after her patrol.
Her body felt more relaxed then it had been in a long time and guessed it was from sleeping where she could move how ever she wanted without worrying about waking any other cat. she got to her feet and began cleaning herself, flicking a leaf off her tongue, hating the taste of it. She found out why she shouldn't sleep out of the den often. Her fur was much more messy then.
She heard some mewing and looked up to see her leader and another she-cat. Every cat knew their leader. From the time they were old enough to know things they knew their leader. And she knew the other she-cat from apprenticeship. She she thought they were apprentices together. The other she cat had become a warrior before her, mainly because of Sagepelt's behavior after her mothers death.
She thought about going to say hi, or at least seeing if any cat wanted to join her for a morning hunt. The leader might not, she twitched her nose, because she might have things around camp to do. That's one reason Sagepelt had never given thought about being a leader, you always have to put the Clan first. Make sure everything is set up, and then do what you want... Maybe.
She finally got the courage and walked over to them. "Good morning," She purred, dipping her head to her leader, and smiling at Silverwolf. "Hope I'm not intruding." She wondered if either of them would have any resentment for the way she had acted before.

Silverwolf sat quietly in thoughtful silence, musing about what it must be like to run a Clan. It's probably very stressfull. She admitted to herself. Running her left paw absentmindedly through the grass, she scored shallow, long furrows in the dirt with her slightly unsheathed claws. A sharp sting ran up her foreleg as her paw hit a rather unfortunately placed stone, but it snapped her out of her reverie.
Hissing softly under her breath, Silverwolf shook her paw to make the sore tingle fade. Suddenly aware of the silence between herself and Hawkstar, the young warrior hoped that the lapse in conversation was not too long. Something akin to relief, but not quite, flashed across her pale blue eyes as she saw Sagepelt sauntering over.
"Salutations, Sagepelt." Silverwolf greeted the older shecat formally, but swept her tail over the grass on her right, gesturing for Sagepelt to sit. She flicked her ear at her fellow warrior, wishing that she knew Silverwolf had no hard feeling against her for her previous behavior. It was only natural to feel grief after a loved one's passing into StarClan. It was too bad that the silver tabby wasn't one to talk much, or she would have told Sagepelt herself.

Sagepelt purred softy, smiling to Silverwolf. She knew that the she-cat didn't talk much, so she wouldn't try to make her by asking loads of random questions, remembering how annoying it is to be tackled with questions you didn't want to answer. So instead she turned her attention to the wind, and sunlight. Closing her eyes to enjoy it most.
She wished she could find a sunny spot and nap, but she would have to hunt first, and maybe join a patrol. If not a patrol, she would see to the elders. Knowing she should spend sometime with them since she hadn't had much time after her naming.
"Any one up for a hunt?" She asked, already thinking of the best place to hunt in the early morning.

ooc; Ooooooh, unicorns~ *o*
Silverwolf's faint hiss was barely heard, but caused Hawkstar's ears to shoot up. When the leader realized that the threat was a concealed rock, she let out a faint purr of amusement and gave Silverwolf a friendly flick of her tail. "Almost as bad as a MapleClan warrior," she mewed slyly, watching Silverwolf as she shook her sore paw.
Hawkstar's attention was soon diverted to the newly approaching she-cat, Sagepelt. As the warrior took her place beside herself and Silverwolf, the leader met Sagepelt's nod with a small smile. "Good morning, Sagepelt," she mewed gently, allowing the she-cat to situate herself within the trio before continuing. "Hunting sounds great right now, but we also need a dawn patrol to be sent out. If you two would care to join me, I'm sure we can catch a few rabbits on the way?"

ooc: o.O unicorns..?
"A patrol sounds good to me," Sagepelt's tail twitch as she longed to be moving. She wasn't going to trying rushing any paw, she was just excited. Her paws felt as though nothing but the feel of grass would end the itching they didn't really feel. And a soft breeze would be a sweet blessing from StarClan.
She purred softly, forcing herself to fix her chest fur. She wouldn't go anywhere looking as though she hadn't been raised proper. Even her mentor would be ashamed. Once her pelt was soft and nice, she gave herself a shake. Refusing the scratch the flea behind her ear in front of her leader.

Silverwolf scowled unconvincingly at Hawkstar's remark then flicked her ear at her leader to show that she was kidding, a lively glimmer dancing in her pale blue eyes. Laughing softly, she growled," Not as bad as I'm gonna be to any cat that dares invade our borders." Flexing her previously sore paw experimentally, she unsheathed her claws and raked them slowly across the ground, dislodging the unlucky stone in the process. Satisfied with her work, the silver warrior patted down the grass with her retracted paw, the stone placed carefully on top, in clear view of any passing cat, lest it causes any more annoyance.
"I could do for a patrol." Silverwolf flicked her tail and smiled lightly at Sagepelt; the shecat's energy was intoxicating. "I'm not really hungry, so I could do a hunting patrol after this one or something." She tipped her head backwards, her pale blue irises reflecting the sky's own natural blue hue, turning the silver warrior's eyes an entirely different shade altogether. "Nice weather today." She glanced at Sagepelt and Hawkstar, a vivacious gleam in her eyes. "Perfect for a clean, brisk run around our territory." Silverwolf hopped deftly to her paws and brushed off a stray twig that clung to her lustrous silver fur. After shaking herself a few times, she glanced back at her pelt, glowing in the rising sun. "I wish that I had darker fur," she sighed, a twinge of irritation in her voice. "It would be so much more efficient for hunting."

Sagepelt watched a bee buzz by, noting how lazy it seemed to be moving. It must have only just woke up. Her mind wondered a little bit as she though about where it would most likely go. The best place for flowers. The fields had loads of wild flower. And bees... She remembered her apprenticeship when she had stepped on a bee. Her paw had swollen almost twice it's size and she could barely walk on it. Shaking her head, she realized that Silverwolf was talking.
"I think it's cute that you have the lighter pelt, you are still a great hunter." Sagepelt shrugged slightly. "I always feel a little bland blending in all the time. It's almost like I just disappear without meaning to sometimes." She Lick her shoulder fur, shaking her head to get the shedding fur off her tongue. "Now, about that run?" She looked at Silverwolf with narrowed, playful eyes, dropping into a crouch.
She quickly pulled back up into a sitting position. Remembering that she was in the presence of her leader. She didn't want to show any disrespect. "Anyway," She cleared her throat softly. "I'm ready for anything." Lifting her nose to the wind, she thought again of where would be a good place to hunt, only to remember they were going to go on a patrol, not a hunt. So it really didn't matter.

ooc: Hey, what's it called when roleplayers take turns in some fancy order-thing? Hmm, maybe a roleplay order or something like that. Whatever the name, I think we should have one. ;D It's getting a bit jumbled. (Or is it just me and my perfectionist mind? O:)
