Sagepelt found herself following Hawkstar slowly, paying close attention to the world around her. She wanted to take off and feel the wind in her fur, get that rush from a nice, long run, but she wouldn't let herself. She was going to be calm, and composed. Much like the older warriors in the clan.
She had no reason to go about acting like a kit and scaring off all the prey. Besides, she would want to hunt later. Her stomach wasn't demanding food yet, but it was only a matter of time before she would have to catch something.
She glanced behind her, almost surprised to see a tom trotting to catch up.
"Good morning, Stonestripe." She mewed, dipping her head.
"Sagepelt, Silverwolf." Stonestripe nodded to each she-cat in turn. But his attention fell on Hawkstar. "I sent out a hunting patrol, having over heard you talking about taking a patrol out. Is there anything else I should do around camp, or may I join you three?"
He licked at his shoulder, trying to show that it didn't matter either way, but he was dying to get out of the camp. He hadn't been out since sunhigh the day before, and ever since he had been making sure everything in camp was going smoothly.

ooc: I'm gonna post just because I'm been so very inactive for more than a week, probably. xD
bic: Silverwolf paused as the deputy came up behind Sagepelt. Dipping her head respectfully to the older and more experienced tom, she meowed," Hello Stonestripe." Her tone held no warmth, despite him being a higher rank than her, but she flicked her ear at him in a somewhat friendly manner.
The silver tabby shecat turned in the opposite direction as Stonestripe spoke to Hawkstar. She narrowed her eyes into icy blue slits and let her senses flow unrestricted. There was a slightly cool, subtle breeze in the air that held mouthwatering prey scents and created a soft rustling sound as it blew through the grass. She turned to Sagepelt, a curious expression lingering in her gaze. "Sagepelt, do you think that we should bring more cats on the patrol?" She glanced pointedly in the vague direction of MarshClan.

ooc; It's a busy time of year.... I've been a tad inactive myself. :3 Sorry!
Bic; The slight scent of a SkyClan warrior drifted across the chilling leaf-fall breeze, and the silver she-cat glanced quickly behind her to find its source; Stonestripe. Hawkstar flicked her tail to stop the patrol and waited for the deputy to catch up with them.
"Good morning, Stonestripe," the leader mewed warmly, giving her assistant a small nod in greeting. As she listened to Stonestripe's report, she again gave the tom a satisfied nod, this time with approval. "A wise decision. Yes, Stonestripe, you may join our patrol." She paused to signal the trio of she-cats with her tail. " We were just heading towards the MarshClan border. I trust that you left a few of our senior warriors back at camp, just in case?"

OOC: I've been pretty busy with stuff too, so... ^.^ And did you mean to call Stonestripe a she-cat? Or did I just read your post wrong?
IC: Stonestripe nodded to Hawkstar, "of course, I left three with the camp, they will be heading out on a patrol when the hunting patrol get's back. Everything seems to be in order." He thought it over in his mind, triple checking that everything was, in fact, in order. He hated leaving work undone. But everything seemed done, and he had to get out of camp for a while.
Sagepelt glanced at Silverwolf, thinking about her question. If they could get more cats, that would be good. But she couldn't think of anyone who wasn't already doing something. She twitched her whiskers before speaking.
"Do you have someone in mind? I mean, I'm sure the more the merrier, but four cats is decent for a patrol..." she trailed off, flicking her tail as she thought about it. Her ears laid back as she scented the air, wondering if another cat was just close enough for them to call over.
